Congress passed a $2 trillion rescue because of the coronavirus crisis, and the IRS is sending out $292 billion to Americans. The first wave of payments arrived April 15.
Lots of people got the money just fine. But it’s also been a bit of a mess: Some money went to the wrong accounts; some people aren’t sure whether the IRS has their bank information. Help us report on where the problems are.
