Thank you for helping ProPublica and the Virginian-Pilot learn more about the potential effects of defoliant exposure on Vietnam-era veterans, their children and families. As the child of a veteran, you can help advance our understanding of how Agent Orange exposure may have impacted your health.
The Department of Veterans Affairs acknowledges that direct exposure to Agent Orange and other defoliants may lead to negative health consequences for veterans. Some organizations, including the Children Of Vietnam Veterans Health Alliance and the Vietnam Veterans of America, have expressed concern that exposure has also led to health issues in the children of veterans.
Note: If you are not a child of a Vietnam veteran but related to the vet in some other fashion, please fill out our family member form.
